About The Event

Bosco Conferentia Publica is a Press Conference simulation event. One participant plays a celebrity delivering an impromptu speech, while the rest act as reporters firing questions — a dynamic test of spontaneity, character immersion, and eloquence.

Team Composition

• Each team must consist of a maximum of 4 participants.
• One participant will take the role of the celebrity.
• The remaining participants will act as the reporters.

Rules & Regulations

A) Introduction and Speech

1. Duration: 3 hours.
2. The celebrity will deliver a 2-minute impromptu speech in English only, portraying a public figure (real or fictional) on a social, political, or contemporary theme.
3. Participants are encouraged to use costumes, makeup, and props to enhance the authenticity of the character.
4. The speech must be delivered without any written aid.

B) Q&A Session

1. Reporters will ask spontaneous, relevant questions based on the speech.
2. Each team will ask 1–2 relevant questions, as recognized by the judge.
3. The Q&A will last for 5–7 minutes per team.
4. The celebrity must remain in character while answering, maintaining appropriate tone, mannerism, and language.

C) Evaluation Criteria

1. Authenticity and creativity in role portrayal (costume, mannerism, speech).
2. Relevance and originality of question and response.
3. Spontaneity and improvisation skills.
4. Team coordination and balance in participation.
5. Audience engagement and overall impact.

Do's

• Stay fully in character throughout your time on stage.
• Use costumes, makeup, and props to bring the character to life.
• Ask relevant, respectful, and creative questions.
• Be clear, confident, and spontaneous while speaking.
• Respect time limit and let all reporters participate.

Don'ts

• Don't interrupt others during the speech or Q&A.
• Avoid offensive, insensitive, or inappropriate content.
• Don't rely on scripts or phones while performing.
• Avoid dominating the discussion — balance is the key.
• No participants should be added or removed on the spot.
• Don't use props that are unsafe, distracting, or unrelated to the character.
• A team may be disqualified by the judges in case of inappropriate performance or questions.
