About The Event

Bosco Flash Speak is an impromptu speaking competition. Participants are given a prompt on the spot and must deliver a confident, original, and fluent speech — a true test of quick thinking, vocabulary, and stage presence.

Rules & Regulations

  1. Duration: 1 minute per participant.
  2. The competition will consist of a preliminary round and a final round (depending on the number of participants).
  3. Participants will be given a prompt on the spot for an impromptu speech. The prompt may be a quote, proverb, word, situation, abstract topic, or a famous line/expression.
  4. Participants must begin speaking immediately after the prompt is given.
  5. The speech must be relevant to the given prompt and should reflect originality, clarity, and confidence.
  6. The use of mobile phones, written notes, or any form of external assistance is strictly prohibited.
  7. Language used must be formal, decent, and appropriate for a school event.
  8. Participants will be judged on content and originality, fluency and clarity, confidence and stage presence, vocabulary and language use, presence of mind, and overall impact.
  9. Exceeding the time limit may lead to negative marking.
  10. Any form of plagiarism or use of inappropriate content will lead to disqualification.
  11. The decision of the judge(s) will be final and binding.
