About The Event

Bosco Numeracy is a mathematics competition. Teams tackle challenging problems across Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Calculus across a preliminary MCQ round and a detailed final round.

Rules & Regulations

  1. Duration: 2 hours overall (30 minutes for the preliminary round and 45 minutes for the final round).
  2. The contest will cover multiple topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Calculus.
  3. The competition will consist of two rounds: a Preliminary Round and a Final Round.
  4. The Preliminary Round will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) only. Each participant must attempt the questions individually and not as a team.
  5. The score of a school will be calculated as the cumulative total of the scores of all the participants. Based on the cumulative score, top schools will qualify for the Final Round.
  6. The Final Round will be conducted as a team event. Qualified teams will attempt a set of subjective questions requiring detailed solutions.
  7. Proper explanations and complete working must accompany the final answers.
  8. Incomplete answers or those lacking sufficient explanation will be marked accordingly.
  9. Schools will be ranked on the basis of their total score across both rounds.
  10. The final score of a school will be the combined total of its scores in the preliminary and final rounds.
  11. The use of calculators, protractors, mobile phones, or any other digital devices is strictly prohibited.
  12. The decision of the judge(s) will be final and binding.
