About The Event

Bosco Strings is a music competition,celebrating a fusion of Rabindra Sangeet, Semi-Classical, Indian Classical, and Rock. Teams perform across three rounds — Solo, Instrumental, and Group — in a rich, multi-layered musical showcase.

Theme

Rabindra Sangeet / Semi-Classical / Indian Classical and Rock (FUSION)

Format

• Round 1 – Solo: Indian classical or semi-classical / Rabindra Sangeet (Solo vocal performance; instrument may accompany).
• Round 2 – Instrumental: Rabindra Sangeet + Indian classical / Semi-Classical and Rock (Fusion).
• Round 3 – Group Performance: Rabindra Sangeet + Indian classical / Semi-Classical and Rock (Fusion). A minimum of two vocalists must sing.

Rules & Regulations

1. Duration: 12 minutes in total — 2 minutes for line-check and sound check, 10 minutes for the performance.
2. Any form of vocal effects units or processors is not allowed. Effects units for instruments may be used. Live looping is not allowed. Use of obscene lyrics and gestures will lead to disqualification.
3. Failure to comply within the time limit may lead to penalties.
4. Failure to comply with the format may lead to penalties.
5. Bands will be provided only with the drum kit (1 kick drum, 1 snare, 1 floor tom, 2 rack toms and 2 cymbals), output connections and power connections. If they want to use a double kick pedal, the band must bring it by themselves.
6. All bands must bring their own power adapters, input cables, instruments and instrument stands, effects units etc.
7. All belongings are the responsibility of the participants. The host school and the organisers are not to be held liable for any discrepancy caused to such.
8. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
